You don't need an expensive vehicle if it is more than you can afford. Start with paying off your outstanding debt and not acquiring additional debt that you don't need. Blaming a politician for your economic circumstances will do nothing to make them better. This might be something that needs to be a required course before graduating from high school. Financial Education seems to be needed for most Americans. Dave tells them to sell that expensive truck and get an older vehicle for cash or for a shorter loan and less and start paying off their remaining debt. If you listen to some of Dave Ramsey's videos you hear some of the callers call in asking Dave if they should sell their new or late model pickup that they have a loan on for 60k to 80k and when Dave asks them what their total income is it is usually way less than 100k along with a mortgage and credit car debit.
